Great news! We've been matched to our SON! That's right, it's a BOY! We are absolutely thrilled and are so in love already! In March we reached our goal of fundraising enough money to share our son's name with you all, and it is: Samuel!

We're adopting!

Yes, you read that right... adopting!

Though we do not know who our child is yet, we are actively pursuing his/her adoption. We are so excited to announce this to you and to share our journey to Baby Cormican with you!

You may be wondering: "Why adoption? Where are they adopting from? What age? Boy or girl?" There are so many questions that this announcement begs answers for, and if you watch our video you will get some answers to these questions and learn more about our adoption that is in the works.

We are overwhelmed by the joy and excitement this journey has brought us to so far, and cannot wait to meet our son or daughter! We love adoption and the story it depicts of how we've all been adopted by God into His family. In a perfect world, all children would be living with their biological family and be loved, cared for, and supported by them. But our world's not perfect and God has revealed a different path for our lives in order for us to be part of His plan for our child's adoption into a family.

It is not our belief that this journey is about us adopting and "saving" a child. We don't save anybody; however, we are beyond humbled that God is choosing to use us as part of our child's story through the role of being his/her parents.

One way you can help us is to be in prayer over our adoption, our child and our fundraising - all things are possible with Christ and through prayer!

Another way you can help us bring home Baby is through your (tax-deductible) donations. We believe that God has asked us to bring home a child in need of a family and therefore the resources will be provided. Honestly, we have struggled with asking others to help support our adoption, but it is our belief (and what we feel God has confirmed to us) that we are willing to love, raise and provide for our adopted son or daughter and that finances are not a reason to deny an orphan a home.

Although we are incapable of solely providing the adoption cost, we know that God will provide for us through friends, family and believers. We also plan to have a garage sale and do other fundraisers to reach our goal. Meanwhile we have taken financial steps to save up as much on our own as possible, and are in the process of applying for grants with many organizations. We are already overwhelmed with the support we have received ... this is your story too! It's a story all of us are writing in the life of a child who is waiting for love and care.
