Hello! Welcome to my staff support page! I have been working full time with Word Made Flesh Bolivia since 2013. WMF Bolivia works to seek abundant life for those affected by prostitution in El Alto, Bolivia. My main role here in the ministry is that of Community Care Coordinator. 

I love my job because I get to act as a pastor of sorts for our community. We currently have a staff team of 23 people - 7 Americans and 16 Bolivians. As a ministry, we share life with women and children affected by prostitution, trafficking and abuse. Knowing that we ourselves may have nothing extraordinary to offer, we cling tight to the person of Jesus and ask that He shine through our imperfect lives. We have been a consistent presence in one of the most notorious red-light districts in El Alto for more than 15 years. While we believe in the power and necessity of consistent presence, we also recognize the need to pause in the midst of the chaos, breathe, and rejuvenate our souls. The Lord alone is our sustainer in this Kingdom battle. God does not intend to exploit us, use us up, and discard us in this fight for justice. We believe the Lord desires wholeness and abundance in our own lives as we seek the same for our friends affected by prostitution.

Our Community Care program exists to promote the holistic well being of our staff. Areas of support include - physical health, emotional health, spiritual health, and professional development. We prioritize our own health so that we can minister to our friends from a place of abundance. My job includes the administration of Community Care benefits, the organization of retreats and spiritual life activities, as well as an intentional presence for our team.  It is a great privilege for me to walk with our staff, acting as an ally and a voice of encouragement as we push on together to make the name of Jesus famous in the red-light district.

Ramiro and I got married on April 22, 2017! Ramiro relocated to La Paz so that I could continue in service with Word Made Flesh. He will continue to work with Medical Ministry International on a few projects annually and has begun to reinvest with Kayuparu here in La Paz - an incarnational ministry among shoeshiners. We are also working closely with our local church to help strengthen it's missions efforts. It has been really fun to work together and support one another in our callings! 

In order to do the work we love, Ramiro and I need to build a network of prayer and financial supporters. It is such a joy to share this work with our friends and family!
