If I were a notebook kind of gal, I would be sitting at a desk with wadded up papers as far as the eye could see surrounding me.  The words aren’t coming easy, yet I have so much to say.  Finding the right words to do it justice or to convey how God has engulfed our hearts with His vision…well it…it just…it’s just overwhelming.  I am praying that the words capture every detail, flow through your heart, and leave you bursting at the seams like it did us!

There are several things God has shown us that are too come for this new ministry, 2nd Milk.  The first part being formula.  We are coming alongside families to assist with the nutritional needs of babies who have lost their mothers (due to AIDS, malaria, birthing complications,  or unknown reasons), the mothers are too malnourished to feed their babies, or mothers who have multiples and just need some supplemental help.  We haven’t found one single non-profit that does this as the focus of their ministry.  Anywhere.  In the world.  We asked around and word on the street is “it’s too hard” “too expensive.”  So, naturally we said yes, because we Carney’s like hard. (apparently)  What we really like though is that God is the master of hard and we get to consider it pure joy.

This is where you come in!!  We began this ministry in February and figured we would be around 100 babies by May 1.   That was our “date” to go live with our website.  The date we would share and let others come along side us and start to #GiveLife to these babies.  Essentially it would look like this:  You go to 2ndmilk.org and check out the new site.  (GET EXCITED) Scroll to the #GiveLife page.  (SMILE HUGE) Scroll through the babies, pray over them, and #GiveLife (our word to sponsor a baby) as God leads.  (TEAR UP FROM JOY) Then share with everyone you know!!!  (LAUGH AND DANCE A JIG)

People, tomorrow is May 1…we have enrolled 220+ babies to date.  Talk about God blowing this out of the water!!  Hitting it out of the park!!  Putting all your eggs in one basket…wait, that’s probably not exactly the same meaning.  But I’m okay if you put all your eggs in this basket.  2nd Milk!
