CGA's General Operations

Christ's Gift Academy (CGA) is a holistic ministry that utilizes the tool of education to impact lives for Jesus and change a community! Our focus is on the orphans and vulnerable children, and their caregivers, in Mbita, Kenya. Learn more about us here.

Donations to the CGA General Operations Budget provide funding for items not covered under the child sponsorship.

Financial contributions to CGA's General Operations Budget cover:
- staff and teacher salaries to 40+ Kenyans
- food distribution to widow and orphan caregivers, 3x/year

- farm operation and materials

- maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and school campus

- teacher training resources

- benevolence outreach to CGA caregivers and local community members

Sample costs for items under the general budget:

- $20: school shoes

- $25: soccer balls for Physical Education

- $60: textbooks for 1 student (6 subjects, 2 textbooks per subject)

- $200: average teacher salary for 1 month; salaries range from $100-300/month

- $200: campus maintenance budget for 1 month

- $450: Headmaster (principal) salary for 1 month

- $700: farm operation costs for 1 month
