Baby "Charlie" Shaffer will be arriving soon! Paula is finishing up the semester at the Lion of Judah Academy and will then be traveling to Nairobi, Kenya in the beginning of October. Dan & Paula will be staying near Westlands in Nairobi and the baby will be delivered at the Aga Khan University Hospital. After the baby arrives, Dan and Paula will stay in Kenya until mid-November, and will return to Tanzania after they receive the baby's passport.
Dan has
made some beautiful wooden furniture for the baby and a few baby
supplies were sent over this past summer when Paula's brother David
visited. Along with the baby supplies that Dan and Paula buy on their
own, the money gifted to them will be used to cover the costs of travel,
accommodations, and hospital expenses. The funds will be converted to
Tanzanian and Kenyan currency and given to Dan and Paula in the
beginning of October.
