Sole Hope is an organization that sends denim to Uganda to make shoes to protect children's feet from jiggers.

Sole Hope also provides medical care to remove the jiggers from the child's feet before giving them their shoes, and education about jiggers and prevention.

They also employ local people to sew the shoes, thus creating jobs in Uganda and helping their economy.

It takes $10 per pair of shoes to cover everything I just described.

We already collected a LOT of denim, and with the help of several friends, cut it into the correct pieces to make the shoes, thus cutting down on shipping weight.
