I am responding to the nudge from the Holy Spirit to go to Tanzania! First, thank you for taking the time to read this. Second, those of you who really know me, you know that I could not be more serious about the gospel and my only desire is to be truly obedient to the Father. That's it, because He is all that matters. I have bathed this in prayer and there is no other answer, through much evidence, than saying "Yes" to Jesus. Only in the name of Jesus will this happen or work. He has proven to be faithful and will be faithful again. I have seen miracles with my own eyes today, just like in Acts, and watched Him move only the way He can. I believe in the power of His name and it is all I can trust. He is chasing me with goodness and mercy.
Clearly I am fundraising to be able to go, so PLEASE be obedient to Christ -whether that means helping me or not, monetarily or by prayer. The Lord is very gracious, whatever he leads you to do and I will be in prayer for you! If the Lord is drawing you to give, then give!!! -if not, please join me in prayer. I trust Him. This is going to be big kingdom work in the name of Jesus.
If you want to know more about the people we're serving, here's some more information below...
The Maasai (or Masai) are semi-nomadic people considered to be part of the Nilotic family of African tribal groups, just as the Scilluk from Sudan and the Acholi from Uganda. The Maasai and the Samburu people are historically related and all refer to their language as Maa, although they acknowledge mutual cultural and economic differences. Most Maasai also speak Swahili, the lingua franca of East Africa.
We will work alongside nationals to encourage and stimulate their faith while engaging in community outreach. Whether in evangelism, medical, or training opportunities, we will experience God’s hand through divine appointments in Tanzania.
