To all our dedicated supporters and fans of Team Africa Rising--

We are launching this Day of Giving Fundraiser in conjunction with our annual cycling celebration, the Ride For Rwanda, now known as the Good Dirt Ride. Sadly, as with many events, the Good Dirt Ride is postponed from April 25 until later this year. Your participation in this event over the years reflects not only our mutual love of cycling but also the power of our cycling community to rally together for a cause greater than ourselves. While we may not be celebrating together out on the trails in a few weeks, we want to invite you to join us in another way and come together as a community.

Fourteen years ago, the founder of the Ride for Rwanda, Doug Grant, invited a few folks to a birthday bike ride, because he wanted to raise money to provide life-changing bicycles to people in Rwanda. Since that time, our event - and our impact - has grown immensely, changing countless lives and lifting so many out of poverty and despair. Now, we are asking you to join us once again - this year, in the Good Dirt Day of Giving. By coming together, we will provide critical support to our friends in Rwanda and other African countries at a time when it is needed most.

The need is greater than ever for the young men and women who rely on Team Africa Rising to provide cycling opportunities and bicycles for work, transportation, and school. There are no safety nets in the countries we work in, and these vulnerable people find themselves even closer to the edge.

If you make a one time $300 donation or set up a monthly donation of $25, we will send you a thank you gift of a Team Africa Rising t-shirt or cap, your choice!

Thank you for your support and for spreading our message of strength across the globe. We pray that you, your families and loved ones all remain safe and in good health. The challenges of this pandemic may be strong - but, our cycling community is stronger!

Please note as part of the Federal Government's CARES Act:  Whether individuals itemize deductions on their tax returns or not for 2020, the federal government has provided everyone with the (temporary) opportunity to deduct up to $300 from their taxable income via charitable gifts.
