About this Fundraiser

The Fundraiser

This project will build a clinic that provides basic health care and case management for the children of His Mercy School. It will house a clinic facility, as well as a nurse and a social worker.

The Need

Being healthy is a key component to a child’s ability to succeed in school. When a child misses multiple days of school due to untreated ailments or poorly managed chronic conditions, their academic performance suffers.

A clinic will serve to manage basic health needs for the children before they become serious health issues, ensure that children with chronic health problems are being managed, and provide a much needed comprehensive picture of each child’s health.

It will also provide staff to properly educate the students on common health issues such as hygiene and self care. Additionally, a social worker will provide much needed guidance, education and family life management for the overall health of these kids.

Fundraiser Note

The total amount necessary for the clinic is $38,000; however, we have already raised $7,500 offline!
