We are raising $6,000 for waiting children in China - and we need your help!

At the end of this year, we bring our daughter (Mia) home from China. As we have gone through the International Adoption process, we are reminded of all of the children who are waiting for forever homes. These children, many with special needs, live in orphanages who rely heavily on donations to cover operations costs, and medical treatments. 

When we arrive to China, we plan to offer a gift to Mia's orphanage to support the care and treatment for all of the children living there.  We are asking for the support from friends, family and coworkers to make this gift possible - and we can't do it alone!

100% of the money raised goes directly to the orphanage, and your donation may be tax-deductible (check with your tax advisor)  

THIS GIFT PROVIDES DIRECT SUPPORT THAT COVERS:

• PAPERWORK:  The time and expense of preparing the paperwork for international adoption is significant and many orphanages are cash strapped.  If the institution cannot afford to spend the time to compile the required paperwork, they simply will not allow the children in their care to be eligible to be adopted.  

• MEDICAL TREATMENT:  Most children in orphanages have some form of special need.  The cost of treating these needs falls on the institution's shoulders.  Whether minor or major, every child needs access to medical care. Treatments include; ultrasounds, echocardiograms, surgeries, orthopedic treatments, etc.  Without the donation many children may go without needed medical treatments.  

• OPERATIONAL EXPENSES:   Toys, bedding and clothing all wear out over time.  We want to help these institutions provide the best possible care they can for the children.  

China provides orphanages with a small stipend per child, forcing the directors of the facilities to decide whether or not it makes sense to keep a child in the orphanage or allow them to be adopted. Unfortunately, children age out of the adoption system at age 14 in China. We believe that every child deserves a loving family and forever home - and you can help with a gift to our Orphanage Fund.
