Dear Friends & Family,

We are excited to announce that we are growing our family through adoption! Many of you know that adoption has been on our hearts ever since we got married 11 years ago, and we feel like God is now releasing us to pursue this dream!

The Why

We see the mandate of caring for the foreigner, orphan, and outcast all throughout scripture. God himself is said to defend the cause of the fatherless (Deut. 10:18, Ps. 146:9), and we are told to do the same! (Psalm 82:3, James 1:27) On a personal level, we feel the blessing of how we ourselves are adopted into God's family (John 1:12-13, Rom. 8:14-17)! Not only do we see the mandate of adoption (or other forms of supporting orphans) in Scripture, we desire it for ourselves deep in our bones. We told God that we were willing to walk down this road nine years ago, and we are so excited that we are being released to do so!

The How

If there is one thing we have learned, it is that God is a good father and He is always the dynamic for His demand... He's also really rich and really well-networked! :) We do not need to worry or be afraid. Many of you have already sacrificed so much for our family and work, and God has even provided for our needs through strangers at times! Thank you for already loving us and supporting us!

We had anticipated that our adoption would cost around $45,000 since that is the average cost these days, however, we have been matched with a child whose fees will be closer to $60,000. We are hoping to break down the funds in the following way:
25% from our savings (we have saved for adoption since our marriage)
30% from gifts from individuals
45% from grants (we already have callouses from all of the applications!)
***The money raised will go 100% towards our adoption fees, and we have payments due right now up until we bring our child home. Your gift is tax-deductible and will go directly to our adoption agency. If you are unable to donate right now, we ask that you would please pray for us and our future child.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up. It is amazing to think that our child could be growing in someone's womb right now or is already born!
