A little snip-it of our story below:

It was all set into motion one night in May 2012, the night Brittany and I first really ever met and talked. Strangely the conversations were seamless, we talked of all sorts of big goals in our life and we strangely were so aligned it was scary (which is why 6 months later we were engaged!). This is when, now looking back, we knew God was pulling both of us together. One of the best parts, even the subject of adoption was brought up. Both a bit nervous of our new found loves reaction to something that may seem counterculture was quickly alleviated by a welcomed agreeance.

Over the last five years, we have constantly talked about the timing of adoption. The time never seems right, between finances and all of life’s events. God has gracefully blessed us over the last few years with kids of our own, and by His grace we hope to have another one or two. But, after we landed in Florida we felt the time was now to adopt. We settled into a great church in our area, Mosaic, and soon found that our church was deeply called to adoption as well. The momentum was now at our backs.

We can still tell you today, the timing still does not seem perfect. We could potentially become pregnant during the next few years of the adoption process. Only God knows where work may lead us. We have just moved into a new house. We are a young family trying to establish ourselves financially. The reasons not to adopt are endless. But, we have felt God’s call very clearly for several years. We will leave the details up to Him and just take the next right step.
