Mexico is a country desperate for the clear gospel of Jesus Christ. For centuries the people of Mexico have labored to find the message of salvation by faith in a culture that teaches salvation is gained through a religious system of works. This expedition we will continue working in a new area in the Western state of Michoacán where we see the gospel continuing to spread. This region of Michoacán was the home of the Purépecha Empire, which rivaled the Aztec Empire at the time of Spanish encounter. The Purépecha were never conquered by the Aztecs. We will partner with local leaders, pastors and churches who have a vision of reaching their surrounding communities with the good news. The goal for this team is to work in this region, to evangelize, disciple new believers and plant house churches.
