We are adopting a child!

After 3 years of fertility treatments and 4 miscarriages, Bill and I are thrilled to announce that we are moving forward with this new journey of adoption! We have plowed through the paperwork as quickly as possible because we are ready to realize our dream of finally becoming parents. We cannot wait to welcome a child home, and we want all of our friends and family to be a part of this dream and help us Meet Melanibaby! :) We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.

We have tons of fundraising ideas coming in the future, so be on the lookout for those invitations. But, since most of our family members are spread out across the country, we want to give you all an opportunity to help us find the financial means to bring home our child. As part of our adoption fundraising process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
