We have some special news to share, we are adopting a child!

We have been planning this for a while and are excited to be working towards our lifelong dream of having a family. We have always wanted to adopt and after the months of researching home study and adoption agencies, filling out all the paperwork and providing every detail of our lives to these institutions, we are finally ready to move forward and find the child that God has chosen for us.

The overall process can take up to a year or more and so we ask for your prayers of courage and patience as we venture out on this journey. We will be sure to update everyone as we move forward.

In our process of preparing for adoption we have learned that adoption fees can average between $35,000 - $55,000! These fees include the home study, agency application fees, placement fees, legal fees and potential health care costs for the birth mother. Because of this we have decided to put together a crowdfunding campaign. Though we have been building up our savings and exploring grant and loan options in anticipation of these fees, the financial burden is overwhelming. Not only because of the overall cost for adoption, but also in anticipation of trying to plan for our child's future education and life expenses. Any money we can raise will help offset this burden and help provide in the future for our child.

We chose this crowdfunding platform as a way for everyone to be able to contribute directly to our adoption. All funds raised will go towards paying all the associated fees to help bring home our child.
