We have BIG news! We have been approved by Peru, to adopt! We are awaiting matching of three children, and hope to bring them home as quickly as possible! This journey has been the hardest, yet most beautiful thing we have ever experienced. We are so ready to complete this leg of the journey, and begin the next - starting our new life together with three special, beautiful children. Before we began the journey, we expressed our concerns to a friend that our house was not big enough, and our pocketbook was not big enough; her reply was, "But your hearts are big enough." That was the final thought that sealed the deal for us and sent us along this road.

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome these precious children into our home. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more, which is the amount that our adoption is costing. We have been able to scrimp, save, fundraise and sell items, to reach all but the last $17,000, which will cover our final payment to the agency, travel costs for us and the children, the cost of staying in country for 28-30 days, immigration costs, etc.
