We are the Smith family, established October 2010. Since day one, the question we have received has been, “So, when are you going to have kids?” Our quick reply has always been, “We will discuss it in 10 years.” Although 10 years have not yet passed, we feel that God has directed us to begin to grow our family through the process of international adoption this year.

Over the past months, we have felt prompted to begin researching the adoption process. Through this, our hearts have been guided to adopt a child from Ethiopia. Now we begin what is sure to be a rollercoaster of emotion, of which a dear friend told us is “not for the faint of heart.” However, our Holy Father has guided us this far, and He has only our best in mind. We have faith that He will continue to lead us throughout this entire process as we continue to lean on Him.

Now we have the overwhelming task of fundraising! Our donations goal is $30,000 to assist in the cost of adopting our first child. We hope that you will prayerfully consider helping us reach this goal. Each prayer and donation is important and will help to make our dream of starting a family become a reality.
