Ashly Adhiambo lives with her widowed mother and three older siblings in a two-room mud-wall house with tin roof. They use solar for lighting and fetch water from the lake for washing and bathing. Ashly sleeps on a sofa set under a mosquito net.

Ashly Adhiambo was born on October 26th, 2016. She joined Pre-Primary Two in 2023. She previously attended a local primary school in her neighborhood before joining CGA. Ashly’s father died in 2019. She lives with her widowed mother and three older siblings in a two-room mud-wall house with a tin roof and uses solar for lighting. Ashly sleeps on a sofa set under a mosquito net. Their house is about an hour’s walk from Christ’s Gift Academy. They fetch water from the lake for both washing and bathing and treat the same water for drinking. Ashly’s mother supports her family by washing clothes for people in the neighborhood, and she’s very excited to have her daughter join CGA.
