Becile is the third born in a family of three siblings. He lives with his mother who dries fish at the beach. They fetch water from the lake and treat it for drinking. Becile sleeps on a mattress on the floor with his other siblings.

Becile Ochieng was born on 20th April, 2017. He will be joining pre-primary one in April, 2022. He is the third born in a family of three siblings. He was born after his mother lost her husband, and stays with his widowed sick mother who is on daily medication. The mother dries fish at the beach. Becile’s biological father is alive and married, but he doesn’t offer support. They live in a rented single-room tin house about fifteen minutes-walk from CGA. They fetch water from the lake for their daily use, and treat it for drinking. Becile sleeps on a mattress spread on the floor under a mosquito net together with the other siblings. They share a toilet with the other families living in the compound.
