Bravine Otieno was born on September 30th, 2014. He will join CGA Grade 1 Class in July 2021. He was born out of wedlock and lives with his maternal grandparents together with his cousins. BravineâÂÂs grandparents sell fish to support their family. His mother got married after he was born but later lost her husband. The mother is physically handicapped and mostly depends on her parents for support. They live in the rural part of Mbita in a semi-permanent house, about a thirty-minute walk east of CGA campus. They have no electricity and use solar for lighting. Bravine together with other children in the home sleep on a mat on the floor under a mosquito net. They do their washing at the lake and treat the same lake water for drinking. They use both firewood and charcoal for cooking.
