Collins is thirteen years old and has lived with Pastor Petion and Marjorie at the shelter since he was eight years old. He has two brothers and three sisters who all live in Meye, a city in Haiti. Some of the siblings live with Collins mother and father, while some have a different father and live with their dad. His mom brought him to the shelter because she was unable to provide for him and their family. Collins is now able to grow up in a safe environment and be cared for by the loving Petion family, and is also now able to receive an education.
