About this trip

To raise awareness about the realities in human trafficking and child sex slavery in Thailand, we need individuals who know what they’re talking about. When it comes to understanding these realities—and what can be done to help prevent them—there is no better way than to learn from individuals and organizations who have given their time and talents to the cause. That’s why we host our Vision Trips: to give creative, compassionate people the experience, knowledge, and tools needed to spread the word and take meaningful action.

The trip, beginning the morning of January 3rd in Bangkok, will continue on to Chiang Mai and conclude with a closing dinner the evening of January 7th in Chiang Rai. Led by Rachel Goble (CEO, The Freedom Story), Lindsey Nobles (COO and Strategic Architect, IF:Gathering & TFS Board Member), and Leroy Barber (CEO, The Voices Project), the trip itinerary will visit with both international and local leaders, highlighting the problem of human trafficking not only in Thailand but globally, and what The Freedom Story has learned is most effective in prevention.

For the first time, The Freedom Story is partnering with The Voices Project. As Leroy says, "Prevention of trafficking is a major issue for communities of color. We want to be involved in getting high impact leaders of color trained and understanding the issue on the ground level so they can do prevention in their local communities."

The trip cost of $1900 (+Fees) includes all in country accommodation, meals and travel as well as donations to each of the organizations we visit. The trip cost does not include round trip airfare to Bangkok or the final flight from Chiang Rai - Bangkok. If you are in full time ministry or advocacy work we are offering the trip at a discounted rate of $1500.
