update 10/30/11: We have passed court and it's official! We have a new daughter!! Now we pray that the final steps happen quickly and smoothly and we ready ourselves to prepare for travel to India! Thank you for your generous support in helping to provide the financial resources needed to bring our daughter HOME!!! We are almost at the finish line!!! :) 

The Wolverton's have BIG news!

Many of you probably already know that our family has felt called to orphan care in recent years, and most specifically, we have followed God's lead in this calling to Northeastern India. We have absolutely fallen head over heels with this part of the world, and through the years, we've continued to sense a call into something even bigger than advocacy, sponsorships, and regular team visits. 

It's this journey into that "something bigger" that has been developing in our hearts and lives the past couple of years, and has brought us to such clarity recently to know beyond any doubt what is the EXACT and perfect path he has invited us to travel next. 

We are adopting a child from India! 

We are beyond excited to share that we have recently been matched with a sweet 12 year old girl from Northeastern India and now are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome this beautiful new life into our home. At this time, we are unable to share any more details about our newest family member (to-be), but we promise to share more as we are able. 

What we can tell you now... is that we are absolutely, 100% in love.  And we cannot wait to bring her home, Lord willing, by the end of the year. 

As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may or may not surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents and makes adoption a dream that never becomes a reality. 

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the new "village" we hope to build around our child as she grows up. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and prayers. As always, they mean the world to us and will help carry us through the highs and lows of the incredible journey ahead.
