19 years old Male Kenya
Zadock attends Ramba Boys High School and is in his 3rd school year. He hopes to continue on to college through the CGA Post-Secondary Program.
Zadock Okello was born on the 23rd of May 1999. He is the third born of children. Both of his parents are alive. His father is a polygamist and his mother is the youngest of three wives though the second wife died. His father is a farmer and also does trade in the buying and selling of cattle. His home is situated up the Gembe hills and very far from school. Because of the distance, his parents acquired a two room, permanent house within the town. Zadock, his other sibling and cousins, who are orphans, stay in the house so they can be close to their school. The house is next to to the main road and close to the lake where they do all their cleaning and washing. The place is surrounded by shops and it is about 3 miles from school. The room has no electricity and they use a kerosene lamp for light. They use charcoal for cooking. Zaddock and his siblings sleep on a mat on the floor and his mother comes during the week to check on the children and she supplies them with food. During weekends and holidays he goes to his rural home. 2017 Update: Zadock moved back to his home in Gember after completing Primary school. He switched schools in Form two, and is happy about joining Fourth Form in 2018. 2018 Update: Zadock was in Form 3 at Gethsemane Garden High School in 2018, and plans to join Form 4 in 2019. He has five siblings and lives with his parents. They live in a tin roof, mud-wall house in the rural part of Mbita. They have no access to either electricity and tap water in their compound. They use solar light and fetch water from the river.
