Our dossier {official application} was mailed to Colombia on December 4!!! I was prepared to wait 4 - 6 weeks to be approved but was encouraged to hear from another mom in the process that their dossier - mailed the week before ours - was approved this past Tuesday! What a GIFT it would be to be approved and MATCHED before CHRISTMAS!!! After being translated, the dossier goes to the adoption committee to approve us or to give them the opportunity to ask questions regarding our family and/or the information contained in our application {this does happen occasionally}. If we get approved with no questions and the rest of the process were to go smoothly, we could possibly travel in February!!! With FOUR family birthdays in February it would be a memorable month! We pray EVERY DAY for our girl - for her health and safety, for her future, and for God to be preparing her heart for us!!! We look forward to being able to update you all again soon!
