As many of you know from reading our story (blog link below), we have been working for nearly 5 years to adopt the daughter we know God has been hiding away for us out in the world. Well, we have finally found her-are "matched"-and have been crazy with paper work so that we can get to her as soon as possible.
Our God is kinda' cool because when we thought we would have lots of time to apply for grants and fundraise, it seems like God might be moving our adoption along quicker then we could have ever planned.
After a slight freak out, we got busy researching and came across Pure Charity to raise the funds that we need to make our adoption a success. We have a donations goal of $6,000 which will cover all of our initial adoption costs while we wait to hear from grants and other adoption financing applications.
This amount is not all that we will need, but it is currently what is due to our adoption agency. To continue without delay in our adoption, they need this amount ASAP in order to be on schedule for a-prayerful-fall travel date to get our daughter!
The reason we chose this as our first fundraising effort is that anyone could just donate a set amount (even $1 adds up to make a big difference) or you can shop... Beyond just a one time donation you can simply shop at participating online sites like Target, Apple and the Disney Store. A portion of what you are spending anyways will go towards our fundraiser. Also, the more that this is shared and people sign on the quicker we can reach our goal! (All donations are tax deductible and go directly to our agency-we will not hold a single dime ;)
Thank you so much for being a part of our lives and helping accomplish something that's important to all of us! We can't wait to share pictures of Isabella (what her name will be when she comes home) and finally be the complete family we have been longing for.
Love and blessings,
The Adler's
