We have BIG news!

We are adopting a child!

My wife and I have been blessed with the opportunity to adopt our beautiful daughter McKenzie. We had known prior to getting married that having a child of our own was impossible. We decided that in order to complete our family and share all of the love we have to give that we would adopt. After seeing the cost we decided to step back and evaluate different options. We began the long process of foster/adopt through our local department of family and children services. 

We had completed almost everything involved with that when we received the dream phone call. My wife's best friend told us her husband's cousin just had a baby and that after Carolyn(wife's bestie) telling her all about us and what we were going through that she wanted us to adopt her baby girl. 

This all happened so fast and without any knowledge prior, but we were not going to let this opportunity and blessing pass us by. We immediately engaged her agency and began figuring out what had to be done. After unexpected additional paperwork we were headed to South Dakota from Georgia to meet the birth mommy and our beautiful daughter. 10 days later we were headed home, a dream come true! 

We are not the kind of people that ever ask for anything from friends, family or especially strangers, but we are in need of assistance to finish paying all of the fees and recovering from the costs involved.
