UPDATES:
August 10 We got our immigration approval!
September 1 All of our paperwork is headed to China to get logged into their systems.

The Hammett party of three is growing to 4!! 

(and a party it will be)

That's right folks, we're adopting AGAIN!!

There was a time when we thought our little family was done.  We were a one-kid kind of family and we were settled, comfortable and complete.  The adoption of Liv rocked our world, it stretched us, changed us and in a lot of ways wore us slap out.  It was the best of times and it was the worst of times...but it ended in the spectacular blessing of being parents to our Liv Nima, who is by every definition a rock star.  

Isn't it the nature of God to come and rock the boat right when comfort sets in.

Adoption is the closest thing to the heart of God.  It is the summation of who He is.  He is a pursuing and adopting sort of Father and no other thing on the planet teaches that like the process of adoption.

So... drum roll please...

The Hammett's are adopting a little girl from China!!

We know very little at this point.  We are adopting a girl under the age of 3.

We do know that we are pumped.  We are also anxious, overwhelmed over-joyed and ecstatic.  We're feeling all the feelings.

We also know that there is such beauty in adoption being ALL OF OURS to shoulder.  The call to care for the orphan is a mandate on each of us, it is a collective charge to bring the lonely into families.

You, me, us...we are the answer to each little life being rescued.

We need you!  Our family needs you.  Esther needs you!

So, let's do it!  Let's Adopt Esther!  

Every dollar given will go directly to the rescue efforts of Esther.
