Jax and I are headed back to Ethiopia in the fall!

Why

In April Jax and I had the amazing privilege of traveling to Ethiopia along with our twelve team members, and to say we are forever changed in an understatement. I can't think about, talk about, or write about our trip without welling up. During our time there we saw 589 people choose to accept Christ. Jax had the amazing privilege of leading 108 of those to the Lord. Words cannot express how blessed we were to be a part of God's plan in the lives of those people, and they forever have a place in our hearts. I knew before our April trip that I was going back in September. God placed it on my heart before we even boarded that first flight. After our trip and seeing all that we witnessed, September can't get here fast enough!

This time around I didn't ask Jax if he wanted to go. He came up to me on his own and asked if he could join me again. My mom heart is so full. At age eight I was not thinking about giving up my free time for training meetings and travel and all the work that is involved. God placed it on his heart, and Jax accepted the calling. I could not be more proud.

When & Where

We leave September 28 and return home October 9. We will again be flying to the Amhara region of Ethiopia.

What & Who

Our mission is threefold:

1. E3 partners with the local government to have chickens delivered to each of the homes we will visit on our trip. The chickens provide a sustainable income for these poverty stricken families.

2. Using the Priceless Cube we will educate the people we meet about human trafficking. It is common to send children away with someone who comes into the village promising children/teenagers/young adults a job that pays well. Families choose to send their children away believing they are giving their children a good opportunity. They don't realize the circumstances in which their children end up. On our April trip, the families we spoke with were incredibly thankful for our message.

3. Most importantly, we will present the gospel of Christ using the EvengeCube.

How

Our mission is only possible with a support team. We have two huge requests.

1. We need prayer, lots and lots of prayer. Prayers for health and safety, prayers for preparation, prayers for travel mercies, prayers for our team leaders, prayer for all the little details, prayers for our translators and disciple makers, prayers for raising funds, and the list goes on. There is no such thing as too much prayer! If you are willing, I would love to have you on my prayer team. As September approaches I will have more specific prayer requests to send out.

2. Our second need is for funding. Together Jax and I need to raise $6,830. Half of that amount is due at the end of the month since plane tickets need to be purchased and travel plans confirmed.
