Our adoption just got updated to Child Identified Posted about ago

We're FINALLY matched! Praise the Lord!

We've been waiting so loooong, and finally we get to share the news with you! We're coming for you, baby girl!

We're thankful for the continued funding, support, and prayers that keep pouring over this process. All of this credit is due entirely back to Him.

We have obviously seen some incredible movement with our adoption lately. The months of February, March, and April have been intense for us. We received 4 different files of children at the beginning of this year. We've been on constant phone calls with international doctors and specialists, insurance agencies, and with other adoptive families.
The amount of support, insight, wisdom, and encouragement is like something that we've never experienced before.

In early March, we laid eyes on a beautiful 8 month old baby girl. She captured our hearts the moment we laid eyes on her. She has the most beautiful name that was given to her by her orphanage. For confidentiality purposes, we cannot share her name publicly at this time, but her name does begin with a vowel like all of our other children! Her name in Hindi translates to Morning Star/New Hope. God surely knew. We have been praying that our child would come from an orphanage that was going to give her the best possible love and care, and He has answered our prayers! We have received photo/video updates on her development and progress, and she already turns 10 months this month! One of the most exciting parts is putting a face to our daughter. We've seen her grown in the last 2 months that we've matched with her, a great sign that she is gaining weight, and meeting her growth milestones!

Her caretakers have taken incredible care of her, especially during the devastating Covid outbreak. News from our orphanage director shares that all children in the SAA, orphanages in India, are safe. No reports of Covid have been detected. The Covid surge in India right now is heartbreaking. We have matched with our daughter at a very sensitive and dire time for the people living in her region. Please be praying for all of the in-country staff and caretakers. They have chosen to live at the orphanage in order to protect the children. Pray that people would turn their hearts to the Lord during the extreme losses that families are experiencing at this time.

There's a lot more news and updates to share about her story, but that's all we have for you now. There's still more paperwork to be completed before we travel to bring her home. If you're interested in a rough timeline of her home coming, we are looking at traveling for court within the next 4-6 months, depending on Covid. Her region requires 2 trips for custody, so we are looking at traveling to bring her home within another 4-6 months after court for a total wait time of 8-12 months. Hopefully she will be here by Spring of next year!

We will be creating a private FB group to share more details as we journey to India.

*Please share in our JOY and prayers
*Please do NOT copy, screenshot, or share any information about our adoption. This protects our daughter, her story, our agency, and inter-country staff confidentiality agreements.

Thank you again for all the continued love and support. You may not remember every prayer or financial gift that you’ve contributed, but we do. Thank you for your impact.

Love,

Tyler & MacKenzie
