Hello all,
I’ve got some absolutely wonderful news to share with you! After much consideration and planning, I’ve decided to take a year off from my studies in college to serve abroad through the university’s Student Missionary (SM) program. I’ve been approved to work as an english teacher in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. This decision was made because I want to experience the world out there. I don’t want to spend my gap year doing nothing (too restless for that). What I do want to do, even if it’s just for barely a year, is help others in any way that I can. To share the love and kindness that I have with others and refocus my life on what is important. I hope to learn a lot from these people as well. Not only do I wish to experience the culture and language of a different country, but I also hope to find and strengthen my faith in God through this experience. It will be exciting to see where He will lead me as I work with the people in Costa Rica. I’ve already been in contact with them, and they’re as excited as I am. It would mean so much if you could help me get there by making a donation to my fundraising. As always, prayers are very much appreciated as well.
In His love and service,
Annie
