We will be returning to Casa Bernabe in Guatemala City in just a few short weeks with the goal of meeting some very real and immediate needs of the orphanage and surprising the children there with some "Outside the Walls" activities. (An opportunity for some super fun, memory making, activities outside of the orphange and a whole orphange pizza party.) Casa Bernabé Ministries exists to provide hope for vulnerable children in Guatemala, both within the walls of its campus and also within the surrounding community. The ministry seeks to provide the framework needed for each child to step out from the past trauma of their lives by providing physical needs, medical and psychological care, and spiritual guidance. Children are ministered to in church and youth group and educated in the Christian school on campus. Lives are transformed as the ties of generational poverty and abuse are broken.
This is becoming an annual trip for us. An opportunity to deliver greatly needed school supplies, to use our own hands and feet to make improvements to the orphanage, and most importantly to LOVE ON THE CHILDREN!
I speak from personal experience when I say that the impact that donors in the Love Runners community are having in the lives of the children at Casa Bernabe is enormous!
I started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise a portion of the funding that I need for the trip. I have a one time single donations goal of $1500 that will go towards the initial cost of the mission and all of the fun things that we have planned.
With your help, we have done some really amazing things at Casa Bernabe over the last year, including our trip last January when we delivered 150+lbs of school supplies (you can read about the life-altering experience this was for me here) and the trip to the waterpark in August for some of the older boys. My heart still smiles over these images and the amazing once in a lifetime opportunity we created together.
Every donation is important and will enable us to continue loving on these kids at Casa Bernabe. Would you kindly consider making a donation? Also, I would appreciate your willingness to share this with others who may want to participate.
Thank you so much for being a part of my life and for being part of something that is making a life impacting difference for the children at Casa Bernabe!
