We're just a simple family,

woven together through Christ's love, on an outstanding journey, serving a God who was WILD enough to redeem us, when we were without hope... & NOW...another adoption adventure begins!

We also see each child in this world as a gift & a heritage.  We believe that no orphan should grow up without love, nurture or protection & that the Body of Christ is commanded to care for them…regardless of the cost...as Christ did for us!

For US, accepting that responsibility has opened the door to living full-time in Port Au Prince, Haiti. In the midst of our third year here in Haiti, we are currently developing several projects and a ministry organization called:TENMILLIONTOES. The focus of our work is to break cycles of poverty, help reunite & keep families together, who would otherwise give up their children to orphanages and to provide futures for aged out orphans, street children & restaveks. 

While adoption is nothing new for us, this is a WHOLE new phase in life for the Barlow family. Our four daughters were adopted from Russia over 15 years ago. They & our one bio son are ALL grown up now and spread out across the globe.

Our heart for adoption of those truly without options have led us to HIV adoption and two children in particular that we have been helping care for here in Haiti the past few years. Their outlook has been grim & God has called us to intervene on their behalf in order to give them a future. Our agency has us on the list for up to two additional unidentified children with similar needs. 

While we have the means to provide on a daily basis, the costs of adoption are above & beyond. It is conceivable that Rebecca could return to the US for an RN contract to help cover some, but it would take her away from both her ministry and Syndie, one of the two, who we have recently gained custody of already here in Haiti. With bonding and attachment at such a crucial stage this first year it's extremely important for her to remain at home.

Our current donations goal of $6500 will go towards the initial adoption expenses which are coming along quicker than we can prepare for. We have paid the initial agency fees from savings set aside while Rebecca worked last year, but have a home study in June, then shortly after that,,dossier submission fees and a second agency payment.
