We are beginning a fundraiser for our adoption! Throughout our journey to start a family, we’ve been encouraged by the ways that people have come alongside us to pray for us, encourage us, and both grieve and celebrate with us.

To help us remember all of the people who have been a part of this story, as well as to create a tangible fundraising goal, we are ‘selling’ puzzle pieces that will become a framed piece of art to hang on the nursery wall.

The average cost of a domestic infant adoption can range from $25-$40k! We are very thankful that the cost of our adoption through Bethany will be near the low end of this range. We also love that Bethany uses these funds to not just care for expectant mothers' medical needs, but also for their emotional well-being, as they provide counseling and other resources before and after birth.

We have already had a few people give generously, and we are so grateful for what God has provided to allow us to be at this point in the process! However, as we anticipate completing our home study within the next month and officially being a “waiting” family, we are also anticipating the majority of our program fees and our placement fee, which will be due after we are matched and once we bring our child home. Our faith goal is to raise $25,000!

We have a 520 piece puzzle that we will slowly put together as the fundraiser progresses!

Here is how this fundraiser works:

1) We are "selling" each piece for a minimum of $10. If every piece were purchased for this amount, we could raise $5,200. We feel even $10 is a significant contribution! However, in order to reach our goal of $25,000, our prayer is that some will choose to give $50, $100, or even more to “purchase” one piece of the puzzle.
2) To purchase, you can give a tax-deductible gift through Adopt Together or send money through Venmo (samanthacbarnes).
3) Once you purchase a piece, we will write your name on the back of the piece!
4) Once all the pieces have been "sold," we will put the puzzle together and frame it in a double-sided glass frame for our new little one's room. We know it will be such a sweet reminder of all of the people who played a role in bringing our child home!
