Our adoption just got updated to Child Identified Posted about almost 4 years ago

Well, friends -- we are excited to share that WE ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS!

It feels surreal to be finally making an announcement like this. BUT IT'S FOR REAL!

In early June, one of our friends passed our information along to a friend of a friend who was considering making an adoption plan, and we had the chance to meet Mom this past week. She is due September 2 (though anticipates an early labor and delivery), and we are humbled that she has chosen us to parent her son.

We cannot thank you enough for all of your support and encouragement over the past year and a half as we have waited to be matched.

We'd love your prayers for a couple of things:

For Mom – for health and rest. Her excitement for us has been incredible, and we are amazed at her selflessness.
For our own hearts and home as we prepare to be parents.
For sweet baby boy and his growth and development.
And finally, for the hospital situation surrounding COVID restrictions. We still aren't sure what our time there will look like when baby is born.
