Hello there! Thanks for taking the time to read our story. We are Jenna and Justin Boggs and we have started this campaign to help offset the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We have set a goal of $15,000 towards adoption related costs that can easily total up to $35,000 or more.

To those of you- our dear family and friends who have already donated to our adoption THANK YOU! Our previous donations last year allowed us to pay for our Home Study when the time comes.

We decided to begin the adoption process in June of 2018 as we eagerly wanted to add a child to our family and begin the parenting chapter of our lives. Currently we do not have any children, just two pups who are spoiled rotten! We always knew we wanted to be parents and have had many long conversations on adoption. It is something we both feel like we are called to do, it’s hard to put into words that feeling but we know it’s right! Most of all, we want to give a child in need a loving home!

As we began to research and read amazing adoption stories, there was no looking back. We knew 100% adoption was right for us! DNA doesn’t make a family…love does and we have so much love to give! My (Jenna) heart just burst as I read wonderful success stories and saw the absolute pure joy and love in the parents eyes on their child’s adoption day. It was so moving and powerful to me. I literally cannot wait for that day to change a child’s life and begin the next amazing chapter in ours!

Now, almost a year after deciding to adopt- we are still working hard to become financially ready which is 100% more difficult than we ever imagined. In addition to our full time jobs we both work for VIPKid teaching English to Chinese students online (amazing experience!) to help save money so we do not have to take out such a large loan. 

We have also consolidated our credit card debt and it feels amazing to not have had to use a single card in 10 months! On top of all that we consulted with a financial planner at our bank and got a better picture of what we need to do to prepare to take out a loan. We decided to try to save $10,000-15,000 on our own in the next year- but honestly that seems like a huge feat. Since we don't use credit cards for big expenses anymore, it is even harder to save to adopt AND pay for the costs that life brings. 

BUT we certainly are not giving up! We have adjusted our plan and are still so very hopeful to add to our family in the near future!
