It's Sunday as I write this new update. This means it's the beginning of a new week, but also the day I tend to sit down and reflect on what occured the previous week. As I sit here on the couch, I am completely overwhelmed. It's been a week. A wonderfully busy, crazy monumental week.
Tuesday we were graciously showered by our co-op family. I'm talking diapers, wipes, baby wash, boxes of baby clothes and enough gift cards to purchase our carseat and stroller. The love poured out was overwhelming and I came home with a car load full of goodies.
Tuesday night we met with our supper club and had church right there in Jason's Deli. It was an amazing time of sharing our testimony about the great God we serve. Our table was out there in the middle of the restaurant and I am sure that the lady at the next table got to hear about our amazing God. More than that, we were privileged to have all 12 of these precious individuals get up and lay hands on us for prayer.
It.Was.Amazing.
You see, this group of people has mentored us and supported us for so many years. We have had the privilege to do life with their adult children and have also taught many of their teenagers who are now adults with families. We are a unique bunch. THIS is the church---a body of belivers coming together.
Wednesday we got the most wonderfu surprise! Baby's first picture! We were overwhelmed!
>>>CHECK IT OUT HERE<<<Thursday we were blessed by sweet friends who came to power wash our driveway and sidewalks. This was a sweet over and above act of service on their part and it made this mama feel so much better to know that all the yuck from winter was being washed away. People just keep stepping up to love on us and we continue to be overwhelmed.
Friday & Saturday were spent tidying up the inside and outside of the house. You know how it is getting ready for a new baby; washing and folding the tiny clothes, asking your man to get caught up on that honey-do list and making sure everything is perfect for your new little one.
As we begin the count down to welcome home Timothy Hudson, we continue to marvel at the greatness of our God. We are seeing His love poured out through material items, acts of service and generous financial gifts. Have you checked our account? We are soooo close to raising that $12,000 in just 3 short weeks. Only God!
Thank you for continuing to pray us through this adoption journey. All of our love to each of you!
