La VIA (Word Made Flesh Moldova) needs $65,000 to purchase property for a community center, and another estimated $25,000 to renovate the interior.

UPDATE:

Through the generosity of friends, La VIA has received sufficient funds to purchase the property, as donations have come in directly to La VIA also! Praise God! We changed the amount of the fundraiser to reflect the estimated amount needed to reach our goal.

Who are we?

La VIA (WMF Moldova) strives to build community among the vulnerable in Moldova: at-risk children and their families. We host an after-school program, where we create a space of respect and hope, through practical activities such as tutoring, life-skills lessons, art, music, health discussions, and moral-spiritual education. Through these relationships and activities we contribute to the children's and families's rehabilitation and integration into society. 

About the Project

• We will create a community center for children from socially vulnerable families, offering a hot meal and the after-school program.
• Semi-basement of an apartment , 183 sq m (1970 sq ft) space with private street entrance
• Cost: $65,000 to purchase property, estimated additional $25,000 to renovate
• Will have a kitchen and dining area, Medical Station, two classrooms, one large playroom, bathrooms (with a shower), and an office.
• Location: Botanica sector of Chisinau, close to the school where most of the children attend
