Hello, I am James, a male seventh grader from a Christian school known as CCA who just wants to make a difference in this huge world . I've decided to focus all of my energy, strength, and intelligence on raising awareness on a huge issue which is caused by the current pandemic that is ravaging our earth killing over 200,000 individuals and infecting almost 3 million all around the world, COVID-19 AKA Coronavirus. Arguably, one could say that the world hasn't faced such as crisis in hundreds of years, and that humanity was caught off guard. COVID-19 has caused countless problems in countries all around the world, but I would like to focus on just one problem, in just one country, hunger in the United States. COVID-19 has caused countless terrified shoppers to empty the stores shelves leaving nothing for the needy. It has caused grocery prices to rise, leaving the poor unable to afford the small amount of remaining food. It has caused food banks, and soup kitchens that hundreds of thousands of individuals depend on for food, to close, leaving countless mouths searching for at least a crumb to satisfy their never-ending hunger. Before COVID-19 hit, 17 millions people faced hunger in the U.S., but imagine the number right now with food banks, soup kitchens, and stores empty or closed! . My Goal is to raise 1500 by April 30, to help the hungry currently suffering.

       That's why I started this fundraiser on Pure Charity. I was born and come from a poor, corrupt country where life was hard and dangerous. My family would start work on the farm before the sun rose and end after the sun set, and most of the time they would come home to no food, especially in the winter when crops wouldn't grow, Life wasn't easy for them, but they survived, and they remind me about their experience every day. I know just a piece what people experiencing hunger have to go through and through this fundraiser I want to prevent more people from having to go through the same situation. Every penny accumulated from this goes to fund the Organization that I have partnered with, which fights against hunger in the United States that provides food to those who need it. In fact, just 1 dollar can provide 10 meals for 10 hungry mouths. 1 dollar means quite little to us, but for others, it can literally save their life! If we reach our goal, we will feed 15,000 people throughout the United States, possibly even saving their lives. If you want to be a part of that, please donate today.
