Hello SIMS Participants!

Hope this finds you well and excited for your upcoming Spring Break mission trip. Please look through the email thoroughly and email me if you have any questions!

Orientation Meeting:

Our orientation meeting for your mission trip is scheduled for Thursday February 6, 2020 at 5 PM at the LLU Councilors Student Pavilion. Orientation is MANDATORY, make sure you sign in with the country you will be serving! Dinner will be provided for all trip participants. Expect to be at orientation for approximately 1 1/2-2 hours. Please let me know if you are not able to attend orientation for matters outside of your control - we will be giving out very important information regarding your trip.

Also, please come with questions, expectations, and interests you may have for the trip leaders.

Vaccinations and Travel Clinic: A REMINDER Travelers should visit the CDC website for the most current information on recommended and required immunizations for travel to your respective mission trip site at:

SIMS strongly suggests that all trip participants visit the LLU International Travel Clinic, which opens ONLY on Wednesdays from 1:30pm-4:00pm at the Center for Health Promotion, to ensure that you are up-to-date with routine and recommended immunizations.

You may also visit your primary care physician or a local county public health office for vaccine information. 

Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are properly immunized before travel.
