As One Missions Outreach to Haiti

Alright friends! I need your help again!

In March (3/14 - 21), I will be joining a men's trip for a second year to share the love of Christ with those that I encounter, as well as provide humanitarian help to the people of Haiti. I love the Haitian people, and I am super excited to go a second year to pour into their communities again! I welcome your prayers and well wishes while I'm there.

However, I could also use your financial support, if you would be willing to partner with me. Every little bit helps, and if you question whether you have the means to make a significant impact - $20-25 adds up (though I certainly welcome and appreciate whatever you are willing to contribute).

So many of you were so generous with your finances, prayers, and encouragement when I went to Haiti on this trip last year. We had the opportunity to bless the Haitian people with our words, prayers, and physical acts of love and support, as we:

• shared the Gospel message, and prayed over hundreds of people in personal 1-on-1 moments;
• brought joy to neighborhood kids and families as we played soccer and basketball, danced, laughed, and loved on whole communities;
• brought much needed food and toiletries to multiple communities and the hundreds of families within;
• and, funded the building of a long-overdue roof for a home belonging to the husband and wife who run one of our orphanages, and provided our own sweat-equity as we labored alongside the Haitians who were employed to perform the work.
  

 



The Chanje Movement has been actively operating in Haiti since the earthquake in January 2010, and since then has been able to provide ongoing help, change, and opportunity within Haitian communities, as well as immediate relief and support following the numerous hurricanes that have caused further devastation to Haiti.

Chanje means "Change", and they have an understanding that, while there's always things that can be given to meet immediate needs (and they do), the main goal is to create lasting change within the Haitian community. With a motto of "Make Haitians the Heroes"; this lasting change happens by removing dependency, providing opportunity, and changing hearts.
