We adopted our son Jordan from Bulgaria in 2011 through their special needs program. It's five years later now and the need for families for children with special needs is still critical. We are excited to be preparing our home and family to welcome and nurture another child from Europe!
Even though we've been saving towards adoption, it is difficult to come up with the ~$30,000 needed to pay all adoption fees, immigration fees and tickets for multiple international flights. There is a good chance that we'll need to purchase a more handicap accessible vehicle upon the completion of the adoption as well, so we are grateful for the encouragement and help that your donations are.
We are adopting a little boy with a condition called arthrogryposis. We don't know which version yet, but his knees, feet and hands are affected at least. He is developmentally delayed, but that is more due to his environment than his genetics. We are eager to get him home and cared for. Regular updates will be posted on our blog: http://breezysunday.com/blog
Our family has been personally inspired by following the miraculous journey that is adoption. We pray that you would also be encouraged by watching the journey that is an adoption process. Our son Jordan changed our lives. We anticipate our lives changing again in 2017.
