About this Fundraiser

In September of 2022, Southwest Florida was hit with Hurricane Ian, a storm of record magnitude, which caused storm surge of over 12 ft of flooding in some areas. This has brought devastation to many communities including areas of Cape Coral, Ft Myers, Ft Myers Beach, Pine Island, Sanibel and Captiva. Many were left homeless, or with living conditions you can only imagine. Our goal is to bring hope, restore some peace into their lives through clearing some of the mess, and this work will take a lot of hands and a lot of time. This is why we are committed to returning with a group every month until the work is done. We will be doing debris cleanup & help with repairs to damaged homes. We welcome all skill levels as it takes many hands to lighten the load. We love having 2-3 handy people on each trip supported by everyone else. Our focus will be on the Ft Myers Beach and Pine Island communities. Trip fee includes T-shirts, accommodations, breakfast, lunch & dinner food at the house (we will each cover our own meal cost when we choose to go out), snacks, beverages, fuel for transportation during the trip, protective gear, tools, and leadership for the week! (Flight to RSW airport and the cost of transfer from airport to the house not included in the trip fees). We will stay together as a team in our new Cape Coral Mission House (bedrooms are triple occupancy and each person will have their own bed.
