About the size of Maryland, Burundi is a small nation of coffee and tea farmers. It sits along the northeast shore of Lake Tanganyika and is marked by a mountainous, fertile countryside. Often known as Rwanda’s “twin,” Burundi is mostly populated by the rivaling Hutu and Tutsi people.
Despite ethnic tensions, the 1990’s became a time of revival and growth for evangelical Christianity that continues today. Still, an estimated 17,000 Burundians have never heard the Gospel and live in communities without any church or missionary presence.
You can help us continue our mission in Burundi with your tax-deductible financial contribution. Your support allows us to cultivate long-term relationships with local pastors, develop an ongoing church-planting movement in the region, and continue serving the physical needs of the people.
