For all of those who are following us here, we are nearing the end of our home study. Some blood work needs to be done on Monday and it will take about a week to get results. Then we begin our dossier. What does this mean for our timeline and finances?
I'll start with the fun part: Time Line Once our medicals are notarized we have 6 months until they expire. This means we need to have them submitted to Ukraine within 4 months to make sure they don't expire before translation and acceptance. We will be aiming to submit our completed dossier no later than mid-July! Which means travel could be anytime from July to September.
Now the finances: We will have plenty due very soon! Our medical blood work, home study fee and more fingerprinting will all be due by the end of March (approximately $2,000). To submit our dossier we will need the final payment of our agency fee, foreign fees and some miscellaneous fees for notarizing, apostolising, and more fingerprints etc.The ballpark cost here is about $10,000 by the middle of May! Keep a lookout for a major fundraiser coming May 7th! In the meantime, we appreciate your continued prayers and financial gifts as God lays this on your heart! God Bless
