I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on how our hosting experiance went. We hosted K from June 18th to September 18th. It was absolutely wonderful. She fit right into our family we really feel like we were able to bond with her in that short time. She calls us Mama and Papa and loves her brothers and sister. They all get along well except for when they annoy each other. Sort of like siblings typically do. ;)
Saying goodbye at the end of our hosting time was very difficult. We were blessed to be able to take a family road trip down to Dallas to see her off. Once at the airport many tears were shed as none of us wanted to see her go. We miss her terribly.
We are, however, gratful that she left with a phone. We are able to talk with her on a semi regular basis and continue building upon the relationship we built this summer. We hope to have her back home for winter hosting mid December to mid January.
As soon as she has an international adoption status we plan to fly to Ukraine for our official adoption refferal.
We are grateful for those of you following our journey here. If you are interested in more UP-TO-DATE and detailed information about our Journey you can join our Journey to Ukraine page here:
