As the daughter of a missionary family from Romania, missions has always been a part of my life growing up. Ever since I was 2 years old my family would go back to Romania and organize different mission trips. These trips formed my character, my passions, and played a huge role in where I am today in my career. After I finished school and moved back to Dallas, missions continued to be on my heart and a prayer of mine was that the Lord would lead me where I needed to go. 

Ethiopia kept coming up and when I heard there was a need for more people to join this trip, I jumped on the idea. Even tough I grew up doing missions, there was always a comfortability because I was going on trips organized by my parents and to my home country of Romania where I knew the culture and language. Ethiopia is a so out of my comfort zone and I know the Lord will use that to grow me through this trip. I feel like the Lord is leading me to step out in faith and go to a people that I know very little about. I am so excited to see what the Lord has planned and how encountering the people of Ethiopia will change my view of God and His heart for the nations. 

This mission trip aims to share the gospel with unreached people groups who have never heard the name of Jesus. We will spend our time working with local believers, including a translator, and go throughout the community, praying for and sharing Christ with those we meet. Our local partners are committed to following up with those who make professions of faith throughout the week and will establish new churches in those areas.

As I prepare for the upcoming trip, I would value your prayers. Please pray for our team and me, our Ethiopian translators and disciple-makers, and the people who hear about the love and grace of Jesus.
