The Gard family has big news....we are ADOPTING!

We originally began the adoption process thinking a domestic adoption was in our future, but we were wrong! For a variety of reasons, we changed our path to the international adoption route, through the Bamboo Project ,which matches families to a child with Down syndrome. The best news is that within a few months of changing our plans we made it through the home study and were matched with a sweet and perfect 3 year old little girl from China that we have named Ellie. Now we are working to bring her home.  

As so many people know adoption can be very costly. There are paperwork fees, legal fees, country fees, travel costs, etc. We are hopeful that the grants we are currently working on will help cover some of these costs, however, we also know that many people have asked how they can help. So, we have created this site as a way for those that feel inclined to support us with a financial contribution to be able to do so.

We are so grateful for all your support and welcome your prayers over the next few months as we work to bring sweet Ellie home! Our family is so grateful for this opportunity and feel blessed to know we have a community of friends and family behind us every step of the way.
