On the path to Grandma's marathon I will be running the Horsetooth Half-Marathon in Ft. Collins, Colorado next week. The Horsetooth Half is iconic and a favorite in Northern Colorado for a several reasons. Starting a base of Monster Mountain it climbs 400 feet in the first 2 miles with an incline of 9% (like a wimp I will be walking this part). It traverses the shoreline of Horsetooth reservoir with spectacular view of the mountains on the left and plains on the right. Dotting the decent back into Ft. Collins are several unexpected hills. Finally, it spills you out on to the Cache la Poudre River trail that winds its way back to "Old Town" Ft. Collins, where New Belgium Brewery will serve race participants their locally crafted beers. It is a tough race with lots of rewards.
On the Heartline construction front they have recently poured the slab on which the Women's Education Center will be built. If you follow them on FB you can see the birthing center has been very busy the past month.
On the Haiti-to-Heartbreak Hill front Beth is most likely tapering from her training as she gets ready for Boston on 4/21. To get a glimpse of Beth and the story behind her path to Boston check out Tara Livesay's Blog titled "Marathons, Momas, McHouls". Please pray for the Heartline Team as they travel and take part in a very special Boston Marathon
Thank you for following my efforts to help this mission
God Bless
