We leave tomorrow morning at 6:30 am from CWA. We will arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa the following evening. It will be late morning Thursday, Wausau time. We have the weekend free to get settled into a guesthouse very close to Jojo's home, catch up on sleep, do some shopping, and become familiar with driving in the area. Our first meeting with Jojo will be on Monday, October 2. From there, we will spend the next week and a half visiting him at his home as well as taking him on outings and maybe overnight...depending on how the transition is going. The goal is for him to be with us full time by that Friday. The following Wednesday, October 11, is our court date when the adoption will be finalized! Once that happens, we will begin making preparations to fly to Cape Town (about an hour flight) for the next 4-5 weeks. In Cape Town, we will stay in an apartment close to the Wandisa office. Those weeks will include doing lots of paperwork and going to appointments that are necessary for Jojo's travel/entry into the US. We will also have time for fun activities like going out to animal parks or to the beach. After our time in Cape Town, we will fly back to Johannesburg for some final steps before flying home. We anticipate returning mid to late November.
